Internet Download Manager 5.15 Build 4 - download

Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds by up to 500 percent, resume and schedule downloads.

Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.

Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads.

During the download process Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically, unlike other download accelerators and managers that segment files before the download starts Internet Download Manager reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve better acceleration performance.

Internet Download Manager supports proxy servers, ftp and http protocols, firewalls, redirects, cookies, directories with authorization, MP3 audio and MPEG video content processing, and a large number of directory listing formats.

IDM integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, MSN Explorer, AOL, Opera, Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firebird, Avant Browser, MyIE2, and all other popular browsers to automatically handle your downloads.

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Beta v.113 Download now

Service Pack 2 is here already, Forget Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Well, at least the Beta build. In the second half of October 2008, Microsoft delivered the first taste of Vista SP2 to a small pool of customers, as an integral part of the service pack's Technology Adoption Program. Starting on December 2, the Redmond company has broadened the Beta for the second service pack for Vista. In this context, Mike Nash, corporate vice president, Windows Product Management, Microsoft, announced that MSDN and TechNet subscribers would have access to the Beta bits for Vista SP2 and Windows Server 2008 SP2. However, the two service packs will be made available for all Vista and Windows Server 2008 users starting tomorrow.

“Beginning Thursday Dec. 4th, we will be making the Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Beta available to everyone through a Customer Preview Program (CPP),” Nash revealed. “The CPP will launch on TechNet and be available to anyone interested in trying out this service pack. The CPP is intended for technology enthusiasts, developers, and IT Pros who would like to test Service Pack 2 in their environments and with their applications prior to final release. For most customers, our best advice would be to wait until the final release prior to installing this service pack.”

Nash underlined the fact that SP2 is an illustrative example of the commitment of the Redmond company to Vista. The software giant is not pointing at Windows 7. However, it is trying, at the same time, to ensure the evolution of Vista, even in the context of the upcoming Win7 client. Microsoft has failed to indicate a specific release date for Vista SP2, but the company did confirm that the availability deadline was set in the first half of 2009.

“Windows Vista SP2 includes all of the updates that have been delivered since the release of Windows Vista SP1, and incorporates improvements discovered through automated feedback from the Customer Experience Improvement Program (where users voluntarily opt-in to sending Microsoft error reports from their systems). In addition to these updates, SP2 also includes support for new types of hardware and emerging standards that will grow in importance in the coming months,” Nash added.
For the time being, Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) Build 16497 is available for download Here.

Having released Opera 9.5 and Opera 9.6 in 2008, the Norwegian browser maker is now offering the first taste of Opera 10.0. Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 (Mac) Now Available – Download

Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 was an imminent release this time around, one indication being the President of Mozilla Europe running Firefox 3.1 Pre-Beta 2 right before our eyes during an interview last week. Additionally, on Thursday, Mozilla plans to offer Firefox 3.0.5, an upgrade pack to users of Firefox 2.0.0.18, the latest version of the company's 2006 browser.
There is one final set of security patches to be had for the older browser, after which it's “good bye Firefox 2.0.” As noted by the President of Mozilla Europe, constantly patching older versions is not the way to go. The last two security updates (Firefox 2.0.0.17 and 2.0.0.18) saw no less than 26 vulnerabilities patched maintaining the browser through October and November, respectively. It seems that moving on is really just the only way to go right now.
